The 2030 Youth Force in the Philippines Inc. (YFPH) engages young people who make up almost half of the country’s population, to make the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) a reality in their communities through their three strategic pillars: Education, Activation, and Collaboration.
Education: YFPH mainstreams the SDGs and engages stakeholders in discussions to raise awareness and influence behavior of members of society using a variety of platforms.
Activation: YFPH offers volunteering opportunities for member-advocates and network. Caravans also kick-start ideas for social innovations and members work on advocacy projects where they can explore and maximize their skills and potential.
Collaboration: Projects are scaled and conducted efficiently and effectively through multi-stakeholder partnerships.
Since its launch in October 2016, YFPH now has over 2,400 member-advocates ages 15 to 30 from across the Philippines. Each SDG is championed by a youth leader whose education, profession and/or background is aligned with a specific Global Goal. As an SDG Ambassador, the leader serves as a spokesperson who drives projects for the SDG they represent. Each geographic region is also represented by a Regional Representative, who is in charge of localizing the SDGs to ensure campaigns reach the grassroots level and initiatives are made and implemented with the principle of leaving no one behind.
