More about BOUR:
Now in its ninth year, the annual Best of UNICEF Research (BOUR) global competition invites UNICEF colleagues from COs, ROs, HQ and NatComs to share their best and most impactful examples of research which has the potential to accelerate results for children. The aim is to celebrate and promote quality and innovative research best practices which are already having a tangible or potential impact on policies and programmes that benefit children and young people. An additional purpose is to recognize, reward and celebrate UNICEF staff and partners who act as research champions for the benefit of children.
In 2021, the Office of Research-Innocenti (Innocenti) has reviewed and shortlisted 11 research finalists that were deemed outstanding in quality and potential for generating social change. An independent external panel of high-level research and policy experts has selected three winners out of this pool of finalists, which will be awarded during this ceremony as ‘Best of UNICEF Research 2021’.
