This article illustrates scientific innovation being used to fight diseases. In this case, a Chinese doctor genetically modified twin girls to become immune to HIV, human immunodeficiency virus. While this experiment was criticized by many as unethical, it was also deemed groundbreaking as we look towards a future where disease can be prevented or even eradicated through science.
