Ethiopia saw severe droughts that triggered a large-scale international humanitarian response between 2015 and 2018. GPPi conducted an inter-agency humanitarian evaluation (IAHE) to assess whether and to what extent the response met its initial objectives and the needs of affected people. This is the first IAHE to assess the humanitarian system’s response to a slow-onset, recurrent disaster. The video summarizes the main results and lessons learned as well as our recommendations for improving humanitarian action when the next crisis hits.
