How to write a child-friendly document
Sustainable Development Goals: 16
- SDG 16 - Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions
HOW TO CHILD RIGHTS is a series of practical, high quality, tried and tested tools and guidance on new and emerging themes related to children's rights. The purpose of the series is to support effective programming and advocacy for children’s rights across the civil society sector.
Here is a useful Guidance on How To Write Child-Friendly Documents.
Children have the right to seek and receive information, including about their human rights.
For this right to be implemented in practice, the information they receive needs to be in an accessible format. This can be done by producing ‘child-friendly’ versions of more formal and complex documents.
Find out how you can develop these child-friendly documents with Save the Children's newly launched tool.
You can find these and other useful guidance and case studies in the How to Child Rights page.
These tools have been developed as part of the #HowtoChildRight series – initiated by Save the Children International.
