Our Year in Review 2021: Reporting results against our Humanitarian Plan
In 2021 we reached 31.1 million people with our humanitarian programming, surpassing our target of 15.7 million. Your support allowed us to make a positive impact in one of the most demanding and intense years in our 103-year history as an organisation. Would you like to know more? Abstract
Our 2021 Humanitarian Year in Review reports on the progress we made globally against our 2021 Humanitarian Plan. It also gives us a start at building some key insights into how we performed against the Plan, identifying areas where we far exceeded our ambitions, and where we still need to concentrate our efforts using our Plan for 2022 as a kick-start.
In 2021 we reached 31.1 million people with our humanitarian programming (26 million of whom were in the 37 prioritised countries within our 2021 Humanitarian Plan) – figures which far surpassed last year’s target where we sought to reach 15.7 million people. We also raised 85% of our fundraising target – an incredible achievement given the scale of need in 2021 and the number and severity of crises that required support.
