21st century research in urban WASH and health in sub-Saharan Africa: methods and outcomes in transition

Using a literature review, the authors investigate which WASH-related research areas are most common. The results indicate that more attention should be paid to chronic conditions and interrelated aspects of health (i.e. nutrition).
