A 2020 Gender Champion with Dutch Embassy in Zimbabwe , is a trailblazing youth leader who is passionate about ensuring equal rights for women. He is the Founder of Wekwedu YWD. His diverse experience which spans civil society and the private sector uniquely sets him for the task.
Tapiwa is a YETT Summer School alumni, who is actively involved in the protection of children’s rights with his voice and input being captured by various institutes – The Swedish Embassy – Legal Resources Foundation – My AGE Zimbabwe Trust – ZTN TV – Great Zimbabwe Campus Radio – SIYA Trust – Sunday Mail and Hevoi FM. He is a member of the Amnesty International Zimbabwe youth and SRHR Africa Trust where he is part of numerous lobby and advocacy initiatives for human rights with a focus on youth issues. Through the Wekwedu YWD, he has managed to use his voice & pad drive to demystify the serious negative impact of period poverty across Masvingo Province.
